Why Membership Matters

Church membership is more than placing your name on a roll. It is a commitment to Christ and His people.

The Christian life was never intended to be lived alone. God designed His church to be a family where believers worship, grow, serve, and encourage one another.

“They continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship.”
Acts 2:42

Christ Loves His Church

Jesus purchased His church with His own blood. Because Christ loves His church, we should love His church as well.

“Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her.”
Ephesians 5:25

Membership is not about finding a perfect church. It is about faithfully serving Christ alongside imperfect people who are growing together in grace.

Why Membership Is Important

Membership provides:

  • Identification — a public commitment to a local body of believers.
  • Fellowship — relationships that encourage and strengthen us.
  • Accountability — support and encouragement to remain faithful.
  • Service — opportunities to use our gifts for God’s glory.
  • Mission — partnership in reaching others with the gospel.

Our Responsibilities as Members

As members of Ridgemont Baptist Church, we seek to:

  • ✓ Worship faithfully.
  • ✓ Grow spiritually.
  • ✓ Love one another.
  • ✓ Serve according to our gifts.
  • ✓ Pray for one another.
  • ✓ Support the ministry of the church.
  • ✓ Share the gospel with others.
  • ✓ Protect the unity of the church.
“Endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.”

Welcome to the Family

Thank you for taking the time to complete Discover Ridgemont.

Our prayer is that this church will become a place where you worship Christ, grow in His grace, discover meaningful relationships, and serve alongside fellow believers for the glory of God.

“Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy… be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and forever. Amen.”
