Discover Who We Are

At The Ridge, we hold to the foundational truths outlined in the Baptist Faith & Message 2000. Below is a snapshot of our key convictions, each rooted in God’s Word:

The Bible

We believe the Scriptures are the inspired, truthful, and final authority for faith and life.
2 Timothy 3:16–17; Psalm 19:7–11; 2 Peter 1:20–21

God

There is one God—eternal and triune (Father, Son, Holy Spirit)—Creator, Sustainer, and Revealer.
Genesis 1:1; Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19; John 1:1–3

Humanity

People are made in God’s image but have sinned and thus stand under God’s judgment and in need of redemption.
Genesis 1:26–27; Romans 3:23; Ephesians 2:1–3

Salvation

Salvation is by grace alone, through faith in Jesus Christ. It includes regeneration, justification, sanctification, and glorification—only possible through the work of Christ.
Ephesians 2:8–9; Romans 5:1; Romans 8:29–30; Titus 3:5

God’s Purpose of Grace

From beginning to end, God graciously works in salvation. True believers endure by God’s power—not by human boasting.
John 10:27–29; Romans 8:28–39; Philippians 1:6; Ephesians 1:4–5

The Church

The local church is a community of baptized believers, organized under Christ’s Lordship, observing the two ordinances (baptism & the Lord’s Supper), and committed to disciple-making.
Matthew 16:18; Acts 2:41–42; 1 Corinthians 12:12–27

Baptism & the Lord’s Supper

Baptism is by immersion for believers; the Lord’s Supper is a symbolic remembrance of Christ’s sacrifice, pointing to His return.
Matthew 28:19–20; Romans 6:3–4; 1 Corinthians 11:23–26

Worship & Life

We honor the Lord’s Day with worship, live under Christ’s rule in all areas of life, engage in evangelism and missions, practice stewardship, and uphold biblical teaching on family, society, and moral issues.
Exodus 20:8–11; Acts 20:7; Matthew 28:18–20; 2 Corinthians 9:6–7; Ephesians 5:22–6:4

Last Things & Mission

We believe in Christ’s future return, the resurrection, final judgment, eternal reward for the righteous, and eternal separation for the unredeemed. Meanwhile, the church’s mission is to share the gospel locally and globally.
Matthew 24:30–31; John 5:28–29; 2 Corinthians 5:10; Revelation 20:11–15; Acts 1:8
